For the last few years, as a new year begins, I will pray about it and ask God to give me a vision or scripture for the upcoming year. 2018 was a year of increase and God put Deuteronomy 28:2 in my heart, and boy… We have been completely over taken by His blessings!
We received blessing after blessing. From a promotion at work for my husband, a new house that is even more than we had asked God for, a new baby on the way, healings, to just everyday blessings as a parent watching their child learn new things and grow.
This year, I got the verse 2 Corinthians 9:8.
I believe 2019 will be a year of “more.” A year of more than enough of all that we need for all things. A year where we see God’s grace more evident in our life than ever before. The word “grace” here also means joy, pleasure, sweetness, favor and loving-kindness. 2019 will be a year of God’s abundant grace (This momma is going to need more grace with a toddler and newborn!), a year of more than enough for all things in every area of life, and a year of overflow to others.
It seems so fitting with everything we have going on this new year. I believe we will see this verse come to life in our life this year. We will see how God gives more than enough so that we overflow and have more than enough to also give! We will see even more sweetness and loving-kindness in our life and watch that pour over into others. We will see God’s favor even stronger than last year. More favor with God, more favor with man and a good understanding.
I am looking forward to all the wonderful blessings 2019 holds for our family, and I pray you and your family see God move in your life like never before as well.
