Here’s a free printable reading log from me to you!

This school year I knew I needed to simplify our homeschool since our 5th baby is due at the beginning of the school year! We had done All About Reading, All About Spelling, and then a random grammar workbook for our Language Arts last year. I love the All About Learning programs, but they are so incredibly teacher intensive that I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up with it all this year with a new baby. I decided to change things up quite a bit. I was already very unhappy with the grammar workbook I had picked (I won’t get into the reasons here), so I was on the hunt for something different. I ultimately decided to keep going through All About Spelling but added a grammar and writing program from BJU Press. For reading, I decided to handpick a few classic books for the kids to read throughout the year and complete little book reports on each one. I have them fill out this reading log to track how much reading they’re doing as well.
So, whether you are looking for a simple way to encourage reading, or looking for a practical homeschooling tool, I hope this resource is a blessing!
