Forgiven And So Much More

When we think of Easter and Jesus, we usually think about eternal life and forgiveness of sins. And rightfully so! It’s the greatest gift ever and Jesus paid the ultimate price. If the cross and Jesus’ sacrifice only gave us the gift of eternal life with Him that would be way more than enough. But God didn’t stop there. He didn’t stop at eternal life and forgiveness of sins. God is a loving, giving, lavish God. He adores us and wants to bless way above and beyond what we could ever possibly think of – He even says so in Ephesians 3:20 (Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us).

This website is all about parenting and being a parent. And God is the greatest parent there is. No one is a better parent than God. And just in case there was any doubt, God says so in His Word.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11

God is so good that He didn’t want only to save our spirits in the world to come. He wants to bless us here and now. Often times we forget, or don’t even know what all has been given to us by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So here are some things He has freely given to us to receive.

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30

He has paid the debt we could never pay. (I John 4:10)

He has forgiven us. (Ephesians 1:7)

He has forgotten our sins and wrong doings. (Hebrews 10:17)

He took our place and gave us His. (II Corinthians 5:21)

He has reconciled us to God. (Romans 5:10-11)

He has healed us. (I Peter 2:24)

He has made us new. (II Corinthians 5:17)

He has given us life. (John 10:10)

He has freed us. (John 8:36)

He has given us power. (Luke 10:19)

He has made us children of God. (Galatians 3:26)

He has made us heirs. (Romans 8:17)

He became poor to make us rich. (II Corinthians 8:9)

He loves us and nothing can change that. (Romans 8:38-39)

He is interceding on our behalf. (Hebrews 7:25)

He is alive! (Revelation 1:18)

Through Jesus Christ we are forgiven, redeemed, in right/good standing with God, has His peace, have access to supernatural healing, supernatural power, supernatural provision for all areas of life including finances, have a supernatural ability to walk by His Spirit instead of our flesh, and so much more! I am so thankful for all that He has freely given to me. How incredible to think that my Creator loves me so much that He’d give everything just to be with me. Wow.
